In April, Rising Star welcomed two new board members to the team, following the fulfillment of terms by Dr. Valerie Calderon and Todd Hamilton. Please join us in welcoming William J. Bianco and Josh Patton, while also thanking Valerie and Todd for their great commitment to Rising Star over the past several years.
William Bianco lives in Omaha, Nebraska with his wife Dianne and two teenage daughters, Tori and Marisa. He is a partner with Bianco Stroh, LLC, in Omaha, and also serves as an adjunct professor of business law and international business at Creighton University. Previously he was a law clerk for the Honorable William C. Hastings, Nebraska Supreme Court, and is the past president of the Sarpy County Bar Association. He earned his bachelors degree in economics from Nebraska Wesleyan University and his Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego. Mr. Bianco brings a wealth of board experience to Rising Star, having served on many boards over the years including those for Elkhorn and Gretna Soccer.
Josh Patton makes his home in Sterling Heights, Michigan with his wife Sara and three young children Ellie, Lincoln, and Calvin. He is the vice president of sales at Ascentium Capital, an equipment leasing company that specializes in financing for restaurants and energy efficient projects for small to medium-sized businesses. He graduated from Oakland University, where he was also a member of the baseball team. He is excited to begin his service to the board and looks forward to aiding ministry growth to end poverty in Uganda.
