Rising Star Welcomes Visitors from New Zealand

Simon and Daniel are kids who love soccer, so on their visit to Uganda, they wanted to make sure they got the chance to play with kids their age. They didn’t want to just play however; they wanted to make a difference.

The boys from New Zealand collected soccer equipment from their local club team to bring to Rising Star where they delivered the goods while joining the team in a training session. The boys brought all types of equipment to share including balls, cones, and shoes. This equipment was much needed since it gets used so much at Rising Star, we are always needing more to keep up.

The young men joined Rising Star during their Saturday training session. Joining in drills and small-sided games before their father Gerard gave the team talk at the end of the session.
