Gayaza Church of Uganda Primary School has been our home since we started Rising Star Ministries in 2010. The school is a government-funded school that serves the community. Most government schools in Uganda are extremely underfunded and overcrowded. At Gayaza C/U classes can have over 100 kids per class with just one teacher. That teacher-to-student ratio has made our programs imperative. We have been blessed to be a part of the school and help see it develop over the years. Now we are asking for your help to improve the school. We will install new pavers and drainage.

Since the school sits at the bottom of a large hill and heavy rains are prevalent in Uganda, the school sees a lot of water passing through the compound. This creates a muddy mess. New pavers will help give the children a clear place to walk, improve the aesthetic of the school, and give a way to move the rainwater away from the school.
